Ayo Dosunmu's journey in basketball began long before he became a standout player at the University of Illinois and eventually a professional athlete. Growing up in Chicago, Ayo experienced firsthand the power of basketball to uplift and inspire. It was on the courts of his community that he honed his skills, learned valuable life lessons, and forged lifelong friendships.
As Ayo's basketball career progressed, he never forgot the impact that basketball had on his life. He saw how the sport could be a vehicle for change, a way to give back to the community that had supported him. With this in mind, Ayo founded Ayo Dos Elite, a youth basketball program dedicated to providing young athletes with the same opportunities and mentorship that he had received.
Through Ayo Dos Elite, Ayo aims to not only teach basketball skills but also to impart important life lessons. He wants his players to develop the same work ethic, determination, and resilience that have guided him throughout his career. By giving back to his community through basketball, Ayo hopes to inspire the next generation of athletes to dream big and reach their full potential, both on and off the court
Coaching and Mentorship
At Ayo Dos Elite, our coaching staff brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the table. With backgrounds in professional and collegiate basketball, our coaches have not only played at the highest levels but have also coached and personally trained NBA athletes. We are more than just a team – we are a family, dedicated to nurturing and developing each athlete both on and off the court. Our coaches are committed to not only mentoring your athlete but also welcoming them into our close-knit community with open arms.
Programs and Offerings
At Ayo Dos Elite, we offer a range of programs and opportunities for young athletes to develop their skills and compete at a high level. Currently, we are proud to announce that our teams will be participating in the prestigious Prep Hoops and Made Hoops Circuit during the 2024 season, providing our players with exposure to top competition and scouts. In addition to our competitive teams, we also offer clinics, workshops, and individualized training sessions to help athletes improve their game. Looking ahead, we are excited to expand our program and offer more teams in the near future, providing even more young athletes with the chance to be part of the Ayo Dos Elite family and reach their full potential.
